Parenting a child who is struggling – finding your feet as a secure leader

Today, we see an increasing trend of mental health challenges among children and adolescents. For many parents, this creates a sense of insecurity and a "fear of doing something wrong". We often find ourselves in a landscape of expert advice that can paradoxically weaken our trust in our own experiences.

Who is the webinar suitable for?

This webinar is for you as a parent, foster parent, or caregiver who feels a sense of insecurity when facing a child who is struggling. It is designed for those who fear making mistakes or worsening the situation , and who wish to be a secure support system that builds a child’s inner resilience through clear leadership and predictability.

You will learn:

  • Stepping into the "Adult Role": How to move past the fear of making mistakes and reclaim your role as a leader in the family.
  • Balancing Validation and Guidance: Understanding the importance of both emotional support and clear, structural boundaries.
  • Affect Regulation: How to contain your child’s intense emotions while managing your own reactions.
  • Navigating the Diagnosis: How to use a diagnosis as a helpful framework without losing sight of the relational and environmental factors you can actually influence.
