Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you do not need a referral. You can book an appointment directly with our specialists without going through your general practitioner (GP).

How long is the waiting time for surgery?

We have short waiting times and can often offer a consultation within a few days, with surgery following shortly thereafter.

Is the procedure covered by health insurance?

Yes, we have agreements with most major insurance companies. Please contact your company for pre-approval.

Can your surgeons remove moles on my face?

Yes, our plastic surgeons are experts in removing skin changes on the face with a focus on the best possible cosmetic result (minimal scarring).

How long does the surgery itself take?

Most of our procedures, such as mole removal, lipoma excision, or carpal tunnel surgery, are day surgeries that take between 20 and 45 minutes. Including preparation and bandaging, you should expect to spend about 90 minutes at the clinic in total.

Is the procedure painful?

We use modern local anesthesia administered with a very fine needle. You will feel a small prick, but the procedure itself is completely painless. The advantage of local anesthesia is that you remain awake and can return home immediately, avoiding the side effects of general anesthesia.

Do I need to fast before surgery?

No. Since we perform procedures under local anesthesia, fasting is not required. We actually recommend having a good breakfast or lunch before your appointment.

When can I shower after surgery?

This depends on the specific procedure, but generally, you can shower after 24–48 hours, provided the bandage is kept dry or replaced afterward. Your surgeon will provide specific instructions before you leave.

Will the scar be visible?

Our surgeons are specialists in plastic surgery and place great emphasis on precise wound closure and discreet incision placement. By following our advice on wound care and sun protection, most scars will fade and become very inconspicuous over time. There are individual differences, and the surgeon will be able to say something about your risk of scarring.
